On 22nd April 2022 England Students took on France Universities in their return to International fixtures post-pandemic. This was the culmination of an intensive 4-day camp that THREE2 were tasked to capture, document and share on behalf of England Rugby Universities.

After a tough 2-year period for the students and organisations surrounding rugby, England Rugby Universities (@englandrugbyunis) were keen to come back with a bang and demonstrate the professionalism and quality of this pathway into the high-level game.

As part of that, they engaged with THREE2 to document the full training camp and take over their social channels during the run-up to the fixture. The main objective for this was to ensure an impactful presence online that would excite and engage both current and new followers of the team and the sport.

We were tasked to produce daily content that captured all areas of the camp, including training sessions, team morale, the coaching team, downtime, and everything in between. Essentially, an all-access pass into the world of an England Rugby Student.

Although this task was extremely exciting for us and something we were looking forward to taking on, we were aware that there were going to be some logistical challenges involved in shooting and editing daily content across a 4-day programme, especially when you throw a team of rugby students in the mix.

The deliverables included a minimum of 3 posts per day, including video footage and interviews with players and coaching team, including ex-England International, Mark Wilson. Alongside imagery and graphic posts to further tell the story, we were also required to capture a longer-form video to summarise the entire camp.
